We are SO happy to have a brand new building that is 6 miles from our house!! We either go to church for a block in the morning or in the afternoon. This year, we go early and come home and have lots of time to spend together without any distractions. Even the kids have come to love Sundays since we spend the whole day together; sometimes with friends for meals, but always together.
The kids were most excited about the teeny tiny potty in the Nursery class bathroom; it stands about 6 inches off the ground. Ted and I are most excited about how close the bldg is to our house. We have new boundaries and are called the Bonds Ranch Ward (named after the street the chapel is located on). We see friends from our New Hampshire congregation that meet after we do (3 families) which is pretty unique considering how far NH is and how HUGE Texas is.
AFTER taking naps (the grown-ups at our house), then we settle into:
Scrabble and Boggle, both fun word games that we love to play. Here we had Ted's dad in town and the rules were being stretched a bit by the boys :)
Chess time: Both kids know how to play, although Nick is still getting his moves down.

If Ted cooks, we have a delish crockpot. If I cook we have a deluxe brunch/breakfast and then some goodies later on.
We make cards and sometimes do crafts, but usually we don't even want to spend that kind of energy, so we play games and watch home movies.
When it's not sweltering outside, we go on walks on the paths around our neighborhood.
And lastly, but far from least, when we get invited to friends' homes to eat, I, for one, am thrilled! And we go and enjoy some time with fabulous families.
