The BIG Apple is tasty!

THE NYC FOOD TOUR
by Erin and Mike Allen
with help from some professional guide they met :)

This photo ended our trip but starts our photographic journey:
dining at Pomodoros on Columbus and 70th Street
with my nephew, Johah; his parents, Erin and Mike
and my Brooklyn-residing sister, Emily
who is also a Gemini like moi.
If you want the best food of your life, go to NYC and ask my brother, Mike, and his wife, Erin, to take you on the NYC food tour of the Lower East Side.

Mouthwatering, lip-smacking, throat-tickling, stomach delight:

LITTLE ITALY
Italian Food everywhere! Best pizza and best gelato
(I wanted to go back the next day and do it all again!!!)

Walked from Little Italy to another part of Soho (was it?) for the following:
Oooh, who knew their was a BEST PRETZEL?! Well, its at this place called Katja's near the old tenement housing on Orchard Street. About a block or two from the most deluxe gelato ever: Flavor of the Year: Tangerine (surprisingly, for a chocolate nut fan like me).

ECONOMY CANDY
mightr have changed Maddie' life.
ha ha
My sister, Emily, and Maddie were loving the HUGE candy (including the 5 inch tall gummy bear!)

and back to Lower East Side for cupcakes galore:

Chinatown
Vietnamese Sandwiches
Can't describe
Couldn't read menu
LOVED THEM!

Taking a whole American approach
on the Upper East Side
well, across from the Science Museum on Colombus St.
SHAKE SHACK
ahhh, the name is enough to make me sigh...

Wow! You really know how to eat on vacation! I'll have to try some of these places next time I'm in NYC. I've heard about the Vietnamese sandwiches but haven't found any at our local Viet restaurants here.
