My sister, Christie, came to visit (from Wisconsin! thanks, Chris!!) and we were SO ecstatic to have a family member here to share in Maddie's talent and our excitement!
Flowers and proud & excited parents at the Performing Arts Center at the local high school.Maddie is in 8th grade at the middle school, but since four middle schools were involved (all four had lots of kids try out), the performance was at the high school. Maddie was chosen for this principal role right off that bat as the directors knew her from last year and knew she had the pizzazz to pull this sassy role off well :)
so once i saw a photo of Maddie's Mayzie head-dress (huge feathers, Vegas-style) i decided that these bejeweled eyelashes would be perfect for her role as Mayzie, the Dr. Suess Diva. I was right:
Here's our girl after the last show. We are SO PROUD! We loved watching her sing and dance and show some serious a-t-t-i-d-u-d-e!
Director, (one of them) Mrs. Monk. We love and apprecite the mega hours and dollars she puts into the district-wide middle school musical every Fall. Thank you!!
Maddie, you amaze us and we cherish seeing you on stage, acting and singing with all your heart! We love that you have confidence in your talent, such expressive features & voice, and it is thrilling and exciting and so deeply satisying to watch you jump in to what you love--and to do it with such style!
