Yea!! School is closed!!
for FOUR days!!!
Maddie and her two friends, Brooklyn and Addy, were going crazy on the trampoline and took about 100 photos (not exaggerating!) and spent hours outside, night and day, in temps of 10 degrees and lower with the wind chill. Those temps are UNUSUAL for North Texas.
Nick spent the coldest days with friends building snow forts, making snow jumps (for sleds...who has a sled in TX?? we use cookie sheets which aren't that great; anyone with an extra sled or two, we'll pay shipping if you'll send them our way--each year we have one big snow storm and can't even buy sleds, it seems...)
Then he came back when it warmed up slightly and was out without a coat; this kid wears shorts almost all year long and when it's 45 degrees, says, "Moooom, it's NOT cold outside!"
Maddie and familyh friends, Smith kids, were over...it's looking bad for this red riding hood!
Loving the snow for sure!! We don't get it enough to bother us...
I might mention the weekend before this it was 80 degrees, no joke.
and the week after this ice/snow storm/near 0 degree temps, it came right back up to the 70s!
ahhh, Texas winters.
