King Herod comes to ask about the baby born who has brought wise men (who come on real camels!)
As we enter Bethlehem, Nick and Mason meet a Roman centurion
Later, in the village, we got to see basket weavers, wool blankets being woven, stone masons, a Hebrew school, eat hot bread balls cooked in outdoor oven (and dipped in honey!) and see Mary and Joseph rejected from the Inn.
Our buddies, the Hooligans, no, the Hooleys, came with us...there were lots of very fluffy sheep that we got to pet...
Then Maddie tracks down these "shepherds" and goes right up to ask them about their job, their sheep, what they do in their spare time...three teenage boys are acosted by a talkative cute 14 year old...I think she made their night!!! (TO their credit, they stayed "in character" the whole time).
Wise men and camels had an audience...camels are not common in Texas :) Luckily, none of them spit on anyone :0
