A perfect morning (ahhh)

I awoke at 5:30am to take this cute girl to seminary (Bible class at the church, daily from 6-6:45am). I toast her some waffles, cut up fruit, fill a huge cup of water + ice, load up the vitamins :) and we are off to the church.

When I got home at a little past 6:10am, the sun is almost up...I decided to mop the floor since it was sticky from Ted's recent Kool Aid escapade--we have not bought KoolAid for about 10 years (and rarely back then). Ted introduced the kids to the old commercials where the giant pitcher of KoolAid bashes through the house or garage; they drank some and now they are clamoring for it all the time. As a result, our kitchen floor has little sticky spots daily...

Nick woke up at 6:40, showered, came down to eat -- we ate together (which is unusual because I usually am either back to sleep, or getting ready for work); then I walked with him to school while he biked. I don't usually do that because of my work subbing or interpreting, so this was a real treat! He told me lots of stuff, great little conversation!! Plus, we took Boston on his daily walk.

Got home at 7:45: cool weather weeding time!!!
Last spring, I planted these 3 gorgeous little plants...
that this summer look like this!

And I had the sweet company of Boston
whom I easily got up off his cozy place on the couch
(under our bed is his new favorite relaxing hideout)
and he came outside and kept me company. I talked to him and threw him some sticks, which he loved. Then he brought me his rope and I threw him that while I weeded and beautified my flower garden :)  Ready for mulch-attack tomorrow night!! I bring a truck FULL of mulch, borrow a wheel barrow and take loads all over the yard to spread it out; it's by far the cheapest and easiest way to do it (before I had the brain to ask to borrow a wheel barrow, I would fill up buckets and carry them for HOURS on END to every corner of my yard.)

This is a PERFECT morning:
spending time with both my kids
who are amazing at getting up in a fabulous mood!
Walking or working out is my #1 fave thing to do in the a.m., too.
Reading a few scriptures or listening to an uplifting talk while I clean the kitchen...
Working in my yard really early, between 7-9 a.m. is heaven.
Having a cup of Chiobani yogurt, chopped fruit & nuts,
sitting on my back porch, feeling a spring breeze is the way to end the morning, around 9:30 a.m.
Feeling SO good!
