Nursing home visit
December 20th
with church friends, pianist, and instruments!
Nick had 2 friends come with us and so did Maddie. None of their friends had ever been caroling--and they loved it!! So fun!
On Christmas Eve, Ted warmed up, or helped us
get in the spirit of singing by playing for us...
Then he got his "Elmer Fudd" hat, his orange cone, and away we went!
This friend went to his garage while we were singing and got out his orange cone and he and Ted started singing at top volume to each other...the CONE WARS!
Here we are inside a house: many of our friends and neighbors invited us in, offered us cookies, and told us that they had never been caroled to...and how happy it made them. They LOVED it! It honestly makes our night!! Our Christmas Eve is complete!!
Please note our "adopted broskis" (brothers), Malik and Syrus Moore, who live nearby. We sang to them and their cute mom gave me a beautiful ornament as a gift. She is a sweetheart as are her boys. We adore them!
And final family shot, with Ted on his harmonica. He plays an excellent rendition of "Silent Night" which, played on the harmonica, makes me feel like I'm out in West Texas (desert, coyotes, cowboys)...love the harmonica's mood/ambiance-setting ability. Thanks, Teddy B!!
