¡Viva la vida mía!

My boss, the Chair of Dept. of Communications, which includes Spanish (she teaches Spanish and is from Peru; she is super energetic and we get along great!) asked me to prepare a slide show for this marvelous professor of Spanish whom we work with; he retires this summer and (as he is LDS) is leaving to go abroad on a 2 year mission (can't wait to find out where). Here he is:

Paul Sexton and his wife, Susie, have become friends of Ted and I -- we have dined out at the most ambiance-rich French restaurant in FW -- complete with live music and scrumptious food; we had the best time talking about the paths life takes us on and those we choose. We laughed, we almost cried (both from laughter and from poignancy) and enjoyed so much the intellectual stimulation and openness of this couple.
Anyway, here is the final shot of the slide show I made for Paul's Campus Farewell Party:
Cathy, the dept. secretary, myself, and my boss, Rosa. I have been very blessed to work all year at a place of education, among interesting and kind co-workers, students young and old -- and to feel like I have a skill that can help people (tutoring Spanish). I love it!
The sad/happy news is that I am leaving the job in order to get my Master's degree (in Spanish) from University of North Texas, for the great reason that with it, I can become an instructor at TCC (Tarrant County College). My boss was jumping up and down, so excited with that prospect (as she is always looking for Adjunct Spanish Professors) and told me that a job is waiting when I get done. Ya voy...
