A dancer from So You Think You Can Dance came to teach the girls a dance and they were psyched!!

4 years of dance lessons pay off!

This 8th grader tried out for the high school dance team (for her freshman year) and made the Varsity team!!! Woo wee!!

 (by the way, this is her straightened hair look that takes about 90 minutes to do...)

2010 Encore Dance Recital, Jazz 3 class

Ballet I, not her favorite, but I told her she had to take it for future dance team skills :)

 Mother-Daughter Dance, a real cute, sassy song that we both got to dance in. I loved it too much!!

 2009 Jazz 2 Encore Recital to her lifelong disco favorite, "I Will Survive" (loved it!!)

Here she is in 2005, at my brother, Mike's wedding reception, singing loud and clear that same Gloria Gaynor classic in front of all who were left dancing (our whole family plus some)...

 And dancing with her handsome daddy!

Incidentally, I heard that the dance team she made, Sidekicks, has a "father-daughter dance" on the high school football field during half time this Fall...Ted, you'd better get your dancing boots on!!

Recital #3 for Maddie

This was Maddie's third year of Dance with Encore School of Dance.

They perform in a very spacious, large auditorium in downtown Fort Worth,

appropriately called the Will Rogers Auditorium.

She does Jazz dancing and loves it.
