I say "Summer" because it is often hot enough to be Summertime. It was breezy and cloudy for our neighborhood big community yard sale, where Maddie made a killing selling all her favorite toys (pre-iPod/Nintendo DS days), the Polly Pocket dolls & such. She bought a new iPod with the money she made and was sooo excited!

I tried (note: tried) to give Nick a buzz (for the second time...I'll have to dig up photos from when he was 2 or 3 and had long curly hair and wouldn't sit still, so he looks wildly weird with a half-buzz) which worked out well until I took the 3 blade off and tried to get it real short around the ears and to cut off his perennial duck-tail. I had bald-ish splotches everywhere and then had to make the line on the back so that I wouldn't have to totally buzz it all over. Man, it is harder to buzz hair than I ever thought.
Ah, new flip-flops, some fresh nail polish, and our wonderful neighbor's invitation to their pool after school:

The gang's almost all here (Nick is off playing with dogs--the ones we routinely babysit when this family is out of town). Three families have gathered for several years at this friend's pool and now it appears they are moving to UT and we'll miss them terribly!
