The kids had a Cultural Day at school. The idea came from the 5th grade student council. Maddie is part of that; the principal asked them what they could do to help unify the students and this idea was born. Maddie made a bunch of poster and drew the Eiffel tower (Ted's mission) and the Chilean flag (from our trip last year). She dressed as a French person, with beret, long scarf, etc. Nick wore a "guayavera" (not sure of spelling), a Mexican and Hispanic Caribbean shirt with cuffed pants and sandals. (Note: sandals are on the wrong feet. We have tried to get this straight for over one year; we're still trying).
