Spring Break in Branson, MO

So, why Branson, Missouri?

Well, for one, you can drive there from Fort Worth in 8 hours.

Second, it's the "family-friendly-Las-Vegas-of-the-midwest,"

Third, time share condos were available to us :)

We went to see a magic show where the magician made a white tiger disappear and re-appear in a different cage, new place on the stage; he cut women in half and moved the 2 body compartments around while their heads moved in one, and their feet in other; and put a chicken's head on a duck's body and vice versa. CRAZY!

Our resort had a mini, miniature golkf course. The kids loved it! They wanted to go everyday! Maddie got a hole in one and went crazy!

The place we did go every day, at Nick's request, was the gym so he could watch basketball and go on the eliptical and treadmill (with my feet helping). So much for all the big shows they have in Branson; the kids enjoyed the tiny workout room. ha!
HOLE IN ONE

"PREDATOR WORLD"

Nick loved this museum, but he and Ted would not hold this albino snake.

Nick fed a shark (biggest one in the tank) and Maddie fed a huge sea turtle.

Indoor water park which saved our rainy day. Ted and the kids ran around chasing each other and getting drenched by the huge water bucket that drops like 100 gallons of water.

Nick's other great love (besides the little gym) was climbing this wall off our bedroom patio. Everyday, about 10 times a day, he headed out to climb this wall. We've found one of his new talents and interests!

We also went to see a 6 brother-1 sister performing group: violins, saxophones, tap dancing, etc. Music from my favorite era, the 40s and the 70s; then also all the other decades. The boys were cute and Maddie was quite glued to the show; we got to meet the performers after and get autographs, which Maddie was rather unexpectedly excited about.

We want to go back in the summer or fall: tons of trees, hills, and a huge lake. There was great shopping, IMAX, restaurants, and hiking. We didn't have time to do it all!
