Field Day and Awards' Ceremonies

NICK AT FIELD DAY (early May)

This is the middle of one of his dance moves...eyes closed, mouth humming.

Nick and friend--he is about to pull the 'meditation pose' (see hands and later entry).

Check out that wipe out!! Tug of war during Field Day. Great action shot!

Me and my favorite boy in the world!!!!
I am SO lucky he still loves to hug me, hold my hand, kiss me, and snuggle up.

Nick's classroom awards: Academic Excellence (reading on an early 3rd grade level; loves Junie B. Jones books and also loves to do double digit math problems)

His other award was the only one given out for something related to "character" and it says, "MOST HONEST". Wow. His kindergarten teacher commented on his complete honesty last year also. We love it! Hopefully that will follow him home a bit more, too! :)

One day I came home to find Nick sitting on top of our mailbox (brick tower with ours and our neighbor's mailboxes coming out in front) just like this MEDITATING.
His whole 1st grade class started doing this during the "moment of silence to meditate, or pray, and think about how your day will be at school," during morning announcements.

MADDIE ON AWARDS' DAY, FIELD DAY, & DAY AFTER SCHOOL OUT

Coach Gage (P.E.) who has called Maddie "Mad Dog" since end of 2nd grade (2005) and

has loved her since she got here; he says she is so happy and energetic all the time. Way to be!

Reading champions medal; also received an honor roll certificate and a choir award for being in Honor Choir (new to our 5th graders this year).

Creation by Maddie and Brianne for Spa Day (moms and daughters) the day after school way out. Lotions, nails, etc. by a neighbor and friend.

The three amigas: Brianne, Katie, and Maddie with shirts made by Katie and her mom for Field Day. They say the girls' names and Field Day; there is a crown on itand on the back they say things about the Jonas Brothers... Hello "Ms. Jonas" !
