BYU Beatdown

Fort Worth BYU fans were ready to cheer the Cougars to victory as we did 2 years ago when they came down to play the Horn Frogs at the TCU stadium. BYU fans almost out-numbered TCU fans and this year, the TCU coach reminded his fans of that fact. So with Ted's parents here, all doned BYU shirts/sweatshirts, we set out for the pre-dinner bar-b-que among BYU fans across north Texas, all geared up for another win.

Even though the game was a blow-out, we still had fun as a family and look forward to BYU-TCU basketball this winter!

*Note: Nick's 2nd grade teacher is an ex-volleyball player for TCU and she made Nick promise to cheer at least once for the TCU team. He sure did. He wore his BYU shirt to school the day of the game. The next day, he wore his TCU shirt to school, since they were the champs.

Oh, the big shake down was the shifting of Pa Buck's long-time allegiance to the Cougs: The day after the game, we spent time in the Stockyards; he wore a purple and white TCU baseball hat. A local fan (TCU) came up to him and said, "That was some game yesterday wasn't it?" and Pa Buck, without missing a beat confirms by saying, "We really killed 'em, didn't we?" Oh boy, if the Grumpy Olds could have been there for that...

Pa Buck said he was just trying to keep safe in Horned Frog territory...
