Garland and Trees and Lights, oh my!

 Our dog, Boston, finds cozy place on the couch, with his head literally resting on this small pile of wrapped gifts that were about to go under the tree! What a crack up!

When we moved in to this house last Spring, we found 4 hooks already up under the mantle. How perfect for us! (Except we did get the dog a stocking and need a place to put it...he is getting some chew toys and little shirt for Christmas--that was a new shopping experience for this elf.

 We have had this non-smelling, not-from-the-woods tree (pre-lit) for several years and it is so easy. We do miss the smell of real trees, but we also have some yummy scentsy pots that we put holidays smells in and they are almost as delicious smelling.

 Then we got to do this for the first time! Garland around our door (which we see every time we go upstairs) and we have lit garland going up the stairs. Ahhh. something i've dreamed of doing for a long time. Very very wonderful feeling to actually do something you've dreamed about... I feel blessed every single day for this house and our being able to be in it!!

 and this year, we were looking for a taller tree...since the house's living room is two stories tall (this is dining room and is about 12 feet in heighth. We could only find a 7 foot pre-lit in the price we were willing to pay, so we got this one. We will be looking after Christmas for a 12 foot or taller tree for the living room for next year. I love having several trees, all lit up and turned on each night as our only lights. I love love love love it!!
